Fitness Training

All training is conducted with Joe Shepherd, fitness coach, massage therapist and lifestyle advisor. With a Degree in Human Biology, a Diploma in Fitness Training and Sports Therapy and 10 years experience in the health and fitness industry you can be sure that you will receive a first class service. An activity program will be devised to meet the requirements of all the guests.

An exercise history will be conducted over the telephone prior to the holiday. This ensures that the exercise plan is as effective as possible.

A Dorset Fitness Holiday is not a boot camp. All exercise plans are designed to be manageable and challenging but not painful. The aim is to leave with a positive attitude towards exercise that can be carried over into you non-holiday-lifestyle.

Most training plans will include resistance and cardiovascular training. The cardiovascular training will be challenging for all fitness levels. Novice exercisers will typically walk for the duration of the sessions. Intermediate and advanced exercisers will cross train with walking, running, cycling and even swimming. Any resistance training will be conducted in a gym or on site depending on your fitness level and long-term fitness goals.

All training plans should include some massage. It is used for relaxation but more importantly to speed up recovery between exercise sessions. This will help to maximise the physiological benefit of the fitness training.
